Young man shot to death in front of North Fork home, deputies say. Two arrested

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday in North Fork and two people were arrested in connection with the crime, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies arrived around 7:30 p.m. at Church Street and Willow Creek Drive after reports of a shooting, and found the victim with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a home.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.

Jacob Raymond Fonseica, 30, of Fresno was booked on murder charges and Serena Christine Sanchez, 23, of North Fork was booked on murder and accessory to murder charges, the sheriff’s office said. Each was being held at Madera County Department of Corrections on $1 million bail.

The investigation was ongoing.
