Fresno County adds 4 new COVID-19 deaths. Almost 100 new cases of coronavirus reported

Four new deaths related to the new coronavirus were reported Wednesday by Fresno County health officials as nearly 100 more new cases were tallied.

Ninety-six new positive cases bring the total in Fresno County to 1,631 positive tests for COVID-19. Thirty people in Fresno County have died due to conditions related to the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.

More than 100,000 people have died from COVID-19 nationally, which includes more than 3,800 Californians. Almost 1.7 million people have tested positive, according to The COVID Tracking Project and Johns Hopkins University CSSE.

The Valley

Tulare County reached 1,796 cases on Wednesday, which was 25 more than the previous day. No new deaths leaves the fatalities at 79.

Kings County reported six more cases late Wednesday to bring the total to 704. Three patients have died.

Madera County had four new cases on Wednesday, a total of 94 cases total. Two patients have died.

Mariposa County had 16 total positive cases on Wednesday, which did not change from the previous day. One person has died.

Merced County’s tally rose by five to reach a total of 278 since the pandemic began. There were no new deaths, seven in total.
