Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash near busy Clovis intersection

A man on a motorcycle was seriously hurt Saturday when he collided with a car that was turning in front of him, Clovis Police said.

The man, in his early 20s, was found unresponsive when officers arrived at the 11:30 a.m. crash at eastbound Shaw Avenue between Minnewawa Avenue and Dewitt Avenue.

Officers attempted CPR and he was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, Lt. Jim Munro said.

The man’s condition was not available. The driver of the other car was not hurt. The area around the crash remained closed while police continued their investigation.

Munro said the motorcyclist was going eastbound when the other vehicle attempted its turn.

The other driver remained at the scene and was cooperative, Munro said.
