Man on foot, 32, killed by pickup in central Fresno
A 32-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup early Thursday in central Fresno, police reported.
He was identified by the Fresno County Coroner as Anthony Choza, of Fresno.
The collision occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on North Weber and West Princeton avenues.
Police say that the driver of the truck stopped, and was cooperative with officers.
He was not believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to Sgt. Jeff La Blue.
There were a total of 11 fatal collisions in Fresno in 2020 before Thursday. The latest incident could bring that to 12.. Eight of the previous victims were pedestrians.
