It’s not too late to vote in the March primary. Here’s how you can in Fresno County

Election Day is nearly upon Fresno County and it’s not too late register and cast ballots in the primary.

Fresno County for the first time is casting ballots through mail-in-ballots, which went out to registered voters on Feb. 3. Voters can also cast ballots in person at voting centers.

The primary election has the potential to decide Fresno’s next mayor and a council member. Plus, it holds sway over who will challenge Donald Trump for the presidency in November.

Anyone older than 18 and living in California can still register to vote even on Election Day. Registering can be done during business hours at the Registrar of Voters office or at any of the voting centers.

For those who want to cast ballots in person, voters can show up at any of the 53 voting centers from Feb. 29 to March 3. Ten locations began Saturday to open up daily through March 3.

Elections officials verify each voter who registers on Election Day, and will confirm that voter did not already cast a ballot elsewhere, according to the Registrar of Voters Office.
