Garlanding kicks off 2017 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in Fresno
Dancing, flower laying and speeches highlighted the opening garlanding ceremony to the 2017 Rev. Dr. Martin Luthern King Jr. Celebration in Fresno.
The King African American Dance Troupe performed, and Fresno Mayor Lee Brand joined speakers in recalling the civil-rights hero who will be remembered this weekend and Monday, a national holiday.
The event was held Friday in Courthouse Park at the MLK Bust that is there. It was one of many planned this holiday weekend in Fresno.
