Fresno correctional officer tests positive for coronavirus. Were others affected?

A correctional officer at the Fresno County Jail has tested positive for the coronavirus, the sheriff’s office announced Thursday.

The sheriff’s office and the health department will investigate if other officers and inmates were affected.

All sheriff’s office personnel working in the jail facilities and the public visiting the facilities are required to wear facial masks.
