FoodMaxx employee tests positive for COVID-19, store does deep cleaning

An employee at the FoodMaxx store on West Shaw Avenue in Fresno has tested positive for COVID-19, causing the company to temporarily shut down the store on Wednesday for a deep cleaning.

The store, at 3241 W. Shaw Ave., reopened at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 14 and will return to normal hours of operation.

Company officials said that out of an abundance of caution, the store was temporarily closed on Wednesday after becoming notified that an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

“The store was thoroughly disinfected, cleaned and sanitized for your safety and for the safety of our team members,” according to the company’s Facebook page.
