Another person has died from coronavirus in Tulare County. It’s the county’s 11th death
Another person has died in Tulare County from complications related to the coronavirus.
The death was confirmed by the Tulare County Health and Human Services agency on Friday. The person was over 65 years old. How the person contracted the virus is unknown.
This marks the 11th death in the county, the majority of which were confirmed just this week.
The first death was reported March 28.
Tulare County now accounts for the majority of close to 20 deaths in the central San Joaquin Valley, which includes Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties.
As of Friday afternoon, there were 203 positive cases in the county — a jump of more than a dozen from the prior day. Eleven people had recovered.
