Tulare County hits double digits in coronavirus-related deaths, as cases continue to grow
The number of people who have died in Tulare County due to complications of the coronavirus over the past two weeks has reached double digits.
The Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency announced a 10th death in its online update Thursday. This follows three deaths reported Wednesday, including two residents of the Redwood Springs Healthcare Center in Visalia.
The county accounts for the majority of deaths in the central San Joaquin Valley.
As of Thursday afternoon, a 17 combined people have died in Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties.
This comes as the number of positive cases continues to increase in Tulare County. Thursday’s count was 187, a jump of almost 20 cases from the prior day.
