2-year-old drowns in backyard pool, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office reports

A 2-year-old boy drowned Tuesday afternoon in an above-ground pool in the backyard of a Cutler home, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Just before 4 p.m., deputies were sent to a home in the 12000 Block of Alta Drive in Cutler for a possible drowning.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the boy went into the backyard of the home and was found unresponsive in the pool.

Deputies performed CPR on the child, who was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia, where he was pronounced dead.
