What stores or restaurants would you like to see open in the big new empty spaces coming to the Fresno area?

What’s your ultimate dream business for Fresno?

Some big vacancies are about to come online as stores close, freeing up space for new businesses to move in.

The Joanns fabric store at River Park is closing. Forever 21 at Fashion Fair mall, in the three-story department store spot, is slated to close too.

And Sequoia Brewing Co. has closed all three of its locations — in the Tower District, north Fresno, and Visalia. Though the former owners are working to get them reopened, the future of the spaces are up in the air.

Now here’s where you get to let your imagination go wild. Scroll down to the form below and enter what business you want to see come to Fresno. Keep in mind many of these huge spaces could be subdivided into smaller ones.

It can be an international chain, a second location of something we already have, a local mom-and-pop — whatever your heart desires.

An IKEA? Cracker Barrel?

We already accomplished a longtime dream of many Fresnans with the opening of a Golden Corral buffet on West Shaw Avenue late last year. Is there another buffet? What’s next, Fresno?

We’ll leave the form up for a few days and then let you know how likely these businesses are to come to Fresno, with the input of some local retail experts.

This survey has ended.
