Looking to support Black-owned restaurants and other eateries?

We’ve compiled a list, as part of our recent poll asking readers to pick their favorite.

The list includes not just traditional restaurants, but also food trucks, a bar, a brewery and more.

We’re putting the spotlight on these eateries as a nod to Black History Month, yes, but also because Black-owned businesses have long faced challenges like historic underinvestment and systemic racism.

We’ve featured many of these places in stories before, and we’ve linked to them where appropriate.

If it feels like some familiar names might be missing from the list, you could be right. The last few years have been tough on business in general and several Black-owned restaurants and food trucks have either closed or moved. But we still have plenty here cooking up good food.

Here’s our list, verified by our restaurant reporter and a representative of the Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce.
