Arrest made in fatal Selma stabbing

Selma police say they've arrested a suspect in connection with the March 6 alleyway stabbing of a 25-year-old man.

Joshua Joseph Hernandez, 26, is facing murder charges in the death of Cory Smith, who was found with stab wounds behind an apartment complex in the 2500 block of McCall Avenue, police said.

Hernandez was already in custody for probation violations related to Smith's death.

Smith, a Selma resident, was taken to the hospital where he died, police say.
