Update, April 12: Selland Arena officials report that the G-Eazy concert sold out. It is the first show since 2014 to sell out the arena's 7,700 seats.

Less than a week after Hillsong United announced it would be coming to the Selland Arena this spring, word comes that Oakland rapper G-Eazy will make the downtown concert venue a stop on his When It’s Dark Out tour.

The 26-year-old emcee/producer, whose real name is Gerald Earl Gillum, will play the arena Monday, April 11.

Tickets for the show are $26.50 to $37 (plus fees) at the Selland box office, select Vallarta and Save Mart supermarkets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 800-745-3000.

G-Eazy is known for his dapper aesthetic, slicked-back hair and business acumen. He’s earned features in The New York Times and Forbes (more than once). He is a hot commodity in terms of airplay, album sales and his concert dates.

He’s coming off a solid stream of sold-out shows, while his latest single “Me, Myself, and I” is all over Billboard R&B charts — it’s No. 1 on the digital and streaming song charts.
