Popular worship group Hillsong United sets date at Selland Arena
The mega-popular Christian worship band Hillsong United will visit Fresno on the second leg of its Empires tour.
The group, which was born out of the youth ministry of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, announced a May 16 date at the Selland Arena with special guest Lauren Daigle.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, and are available at the Selland box office, select Vallarta and Save Mart supermarkets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 800-745-3000. Presale tickets are available staring at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Ticket prices have yet to be announced.
Hillsong United was part of the popular Winter Jam tour when it stopped at the Save Mart Center in 2014. It has a large, loyal following in the United States. It was the first Christian artist to sell out Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Its album “Empires” was No. 5 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart when it was released last year. It is still No. 1 on the Christian Albums charts.
