Tuesday’s game: Trevor Story hit a two-run triple and later scored on a wild pitch in the top of the first inning for the only runs Albuquerque would need against Fresno. The Grizzlies were limited to four hits by Isotopes pitchers Aaron Laffey (seven innings), Nelson Gonzalez (one inning) and Tommy Kahnle (one inning). Fresno’s L.H. Hoes was 2 for 3 to raise his batting average to .304.

Grizzlies on Wednesday: With the PCL’s Pacific Northern Division title wrapped up, Fresno sends lefty Luis Cruz (6-5, 4.58) to the mound against Albuquerque right-hander Eddie Butler (2-4, 5.26) for the third of a four-game series against the Isotopes, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Chukchansi Park. Butler spent part of the season with the Rockies, going 3-10 with a 5.90 ERA. The Grizzlies wrap up their series against Albuquerque at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, then conclude the regular season with four games at home against Salt Lake.

Coming and going: The Grizzlies activated RH Mike Hauschild (6-4, 3.69) off the temporary inactive list and started him Tuesday against Albuquerque. Also, infielder/outfielder Jonathan Villar was recalled by the parent Astros and RH Jake Buchanan was designated for assignment.
