Kazmeir Allen, a Tulare High football star and one of the fastest athletes in California, has made an oral commitment to Boise State.

Allen, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound running back, announced his decision Tuesday evening via Twitter.

“I’ve always dreamed of playing division 1 college football,” Allen tweeted. “With that being said, I am committing to Boise State University!”

Earlier this month, Allen competed in the CIF State track and field championships and placed sixth in the 100-meter sprint at 10.48 seconds.

Allen was just as tough to catch on the football field, amassing 1,842 rushing yards and 582 receiving yards with 34 total touchdowns just from this past season.

He will be entering his senior year.

Oral commitments are nonbinding. National Signing Day is in February.

Allen is the second player from the Central Section to commit to Boise State on Tuesday, joining Clovis West linebacker DJ Schramm.
