NBA star Quincy Pondexter has $20,000 for Fresno. But where?
Former Memorial High basketball standout Quincy Pondexter plans on donating to the city of Fresno.
The New Orleans Pelicans guard and forward tweeted Monday saying he will donate to a Fresno area that needs it most.
Donating 20k to the city of Fresno because I love my hometown, what areas need help the most?

So far, his followers suggested St. Helen’s Catholic School. The school hopes to raise $580,000 by May 31 in order to avoid closure.
Actually, I'm not limiting it to 20k. Whatever it takes to make Fresno better #spreadlove #staytuned #559 https://t.co/vbbqJTlD9p

Count ex-Washington High/Fresno State baseball standout Matt Garza of the Milwaukee Brewers as one who doesn’t want to see the school close.
I'll jump onboard with your idea! I'll match your top 2 picks as long as #savesthelens is one of them!#spreadlovenothate #559 https://t.co/ktqv9lhlkb

Garza tweeted that he’ll match Pondexter’s top two picks of places that need the money the most – as long as St. Helen’s is one of them.
Start with 2,500 to #savesthelens and @CareForKids ? https://t.co/CMWYFGka0D

It is not surprising Pondexter is looking to give back to his hometown. He has been hosting his yearly camp in Fresno and also held a turkey giveaway.
