Unleash our B-52 bombers on ISIS

As a U.S. Navy veteran, let me state that we are at war with an Islamic death cult. The attempts at negotiation during slaughters in Orlando, Bangladesh and Baghdad are a waste of life-saving time with killers who believe their god rewards those who lie and die to murder others. Why anyone thinks eternity with that kind of god is heaven is beyond me and Jesus, who called that god Satan and that destiny Hell.

Why hasn’t the Obama Administration, instead of ordering its tiptoeing, ordered our military to send 50 B-52s to carpet-bomb their caliphate centered in Raqaa? Why isn’t their Caliph dead by now? In WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam, did we ever count civilian casualties? All those ISIS hasn’t killed are their supporters.

As a clergyman, let me urge us not to confuse personal behavior with the duties of government, of which the New Testament states, “If you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, and avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.” The sword is an instrument to inflict death. Since death and destruction are all ISIS understands, let us overwhelmingly oblige!
