Porterville High teacher arrested on charge of sex with student
A Porterville High School teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor, Porterville police say.
On July 10, a person alerted authorities about possible suspicious activity between Bradley Collins, 52, and one of his female students, Porterville police said.
Police said Collins had begun a relationship with the student in October 2013. This relationship included sexual intercourse while the student was still a minor, and continued for more than a year, past her graduation in 2014.
Porterville police Capt. John Hall said there was nothing in the investigation to suggest Collins has done this before.
