Shooting in Orosi leaves Tulare County sheriff's deputy injured
A Tulare County Sheriff's deputy was shot in the hand and rushed to a hospital after he was involved in a shooting Thursday afternoon in Orosi.
The shooting occurred near Road 124 and Dennison Drive, with about 20 police cars responding at the scene. A call for help came around 3:55 p.m.
The officer suffered non life-threatening injuries.
Avenue 416 was closed off for some time Thursday evening.
Visalia police are handling the investigation at the request of the sheriff's department.
