Multiple firearms were seized on Fresno streets over the weekend as a police crackdown on armed gang members continued in the wake of gang-related shootings.

The weapons included a Russian-made Saiga high-powered rifle, a Mossberg shotgun and a Glock .45 caliber handgun with a high-capacity magazine.

Police Sgt. Adrian Alvarez said officers recovered the weapons when they stopped Juan Martinez and Luis Martinez at Chestnut and Lane avenues in southeast Fresno on Saturday night. None of the weapons was registered.
