Nude homeless man arrested after struggle with police

A nude man acting erratically in front of businesses was arrested Friday, after he resisted being detained for an evaluation, according to Visalia police.

Shane Masters, 48, was not wearing clothes when officers arrived to find him in the 1400 block of West Center Street just before 5 p.m, police say.

Officers convinced Masters to put his clothes on, but he resisted when they tried to detain him for an evaluation.

After a struggle on the ground where he allegedly tried kicking officers, he was detained and taken to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility on suspicion of resisting with force.

Masters is homeless, according to police.
