He surprised the burglar, and was nearly shot to death
A burglar fired a gun at a homeowner during a break-in at a Strathmore house in Tulare County, deputies reported.
The incident took place Tuesday in the 25100 block of Avenue 200, where the resident returned home while the crime was in progress. The burglars were in the process of taking two handguns, three rifles a television and other property when the shot was fired.
The resident was not injured.
