Woman worker grabbed by hair in video that shows armed man fleeing from Fresno store
Fresno Police investigators are turning to surveillance video and the public’s help in their attempt to track down a man who grabbed a Metro PCS worker by the hair before making off with items from the store.
Video was posted Friday, though police said the incident occurred on Mother’s Day. Just before 2 p.m., a man entered Metro PCS at 4579 E. Kings Canyon Road and appeared to be asking to see a phone.
When the woman employee went to the back of the store for the requested item, the man quickly followed with a black revolver on his waist. The video shows the man barging into the back of the store and forcing the woman on the ground at gunpoint.
While on the floor, the woman points to a large box of merchandise. The man walks over and takes items while the woman remains on the ground underneath him. He then picks her up by the hair.
The suspect is seen exiting casually after appearing to tell the woman to go farther in back of the store. Police said other customers were beginning to come in.
Police said the man appears to be about 6 feet tall and weigh 170 to 180 pounds. His curly hair was in a bun.
