Police investigate death of woman after victim found south of McKinley Avenue on Blackstone Avenue
Fresno police closed southbound Blackstone Avenue south of McKinley Avenue on Friday morning after an injured woman, who died a short time later, was found in the area.
The victim was discovered about 3 a.m., according to Sgt. Andre Benson. She had sustained severe trauma, and officers called for paramedics. The woman died at the scene.
Benson said the victim appeared to be homeless and lived in the area. Police are trying to establish the victim’s identity and want help from the public. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP, and remain anonymous.
