Tachi Palace is expanding, but this time it’s betting on families
Tachi Palace isn’t laying down its money on more gaming.
Instead, the Tachi Yokut tribe is laying odds that its new family entertainment project will have a bigger payoff.
The new entertainment complex has movie theaters, a bowling alley, billiards room, arcade and concourse, bar and concessions at Tachi Palace near Lemoore.
The tribe is holding a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino.
The 88,350-square-foot entertainment center will include a state-of-the-art eight-screen movie theater, a 30-lane bowling alley and a 4,214-square-foot arcade with the latest video games. The new facility will also include a pool room with 10 billiards tables.
In addition, the entertainment complex will have a 15,294-square-foot concourse, a bar and concessions for cocktails and refreshments.
The complex is scheduled to open in September 2018 and will make Tachi Palace more a full-service venue for the entire family.
“With the addition of the entertainment complex, this will be a true family-friendly place for everyone to enjoy,” said Ruben Barrios, chairman of the Tachi Yokut Tribe.
Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino is home to 2,000 gaming machines, 24 table games, 255 guest rooms, a spa, five restaurants, and 6,000 square feet of meeting space, employing more than 1,200 people.
