Detwiler Fire: Firefighter injured, airlifted to Fresno after truck crash
A firefighter battling the Detwiler blaze in Mariposa County was airlifted to a Fresno hospital after a firetruck crashed Friday morning.
The truck reportedly rolled down an embankment and crashed through a gate into a field next to Mt. Bullion Cutoff Road.
The firefighter, an unidentified male, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
The firefighter’s condition was not available. Firefighters at the scene said he appeared to be in good condition and was conscious while being tended to by medical response teams.
A male firefighter, possibly from Selma, was airlifted with unknown injuries Friday morning after a fire engine accident off Mt. Bullion Cutoff Road.
The firetruck was from Selma. No other information was immediately available.
