Police are investigating the discovery of a body found early Wednesday near downtown Fresno.
The finding was reported about 8 a.m. under the Stanislaus Street overpass near G Street.
Sgt. Pete Boyer said initially the death appears to be from natural causes and might be medically related. The victim appears to be a transient.
Several people have recently started staying under the bridge. It is not known if extreme high temperatures this week are a factor in the death. The victim’s identity was not yet known.
