Highway 41 north of Fresno remained shut down Saturday night as crews battled a fire that had spread to at least 1,000 acres.

The highway was closed at Highway 145 and Road 200, Cal Fire reported. The location of the fire was reported as Oakwood Road and Road 406, with flames 60 percent contained.

Late Saturday, Caltrans set 1 a.m. as the estimated time for the highway to reopen.
