Man’s body found floating in a lagoon near Tulare County town of London

A man’s body was found Tuesday floating in a lagoon near the Tulare County town of London.

The lagoon was near Avenue 394 and Road 64. Sheriff’s deputies were called at 2 p.m. to a report of a body floating in the water.

When the deputies arrived, they discovered the body about 50 yards from shore. The dive team was called, and members brought the body ashore. The victim was a man who appeared to be between 50 and 60 years old, the sheriff’s office said.

No signs of trauma were found nor other evidence of foul play. The coroner estimated the body had been in the water for two days.
