Firefighters encourage motorists to ‘Fill the Boot’ for MDA

Fresno and Clovis firefighters joined in the annual “Fill the Boot” fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Thursday.

Money raised in the campaign, an ongoing event for more than 60 years, helps provide research and treatment for those with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other muscle-debilitating diseases.

Fresno City Fire Fighters Local 753 partnered with Clovis City Fire Fighters Local 1695. The goal for 2016 was to raise $12,000. The groups last year raised $15,000 locally and $100,000 nationally.
