Selma will receive a $4 million check Tuesday to begin construction on a new police station.
Assembly Member Joaquin Arambula, who represents District 31, will present the check to city officials at Selma City Hall at 10 a.m.
Selma Mayor Scott Robertson, Police Chief Greg Garner and others will be on hand.
The proposed 20,000 square-foot facility will include a training room, evidence storage, dispatch, booking, holding cells and other facilities required by Peace Officer Standards and Training, Arambula’s office said.
