This year’s two-story Home of Hope will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Saturday in advance of its raffle, which is expected to raise up to $500,000 for local charities.
Each year, Granville Homes partners with local nonprofits and dignitaries to sell raffle tickets for a chance to win a Granville house. This year’s grand prize is a 2,079-square-foot home in the Belterra community in Fresno and will be unveiled as the 11th annual Granville Home of Hope.
“Given that this is our 11th year, I think this is a great opportunity for people in the community to come out and really get to know the 10 organizations we’re partnering with,” said Veronique Werz, Granville marketing and events coordinator.
With three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a two-car garage, the property is valued at more than $375,000. In addition to the house, a two-year lease on a 2016 Lexus RX 350, donated by Fresno Lexus, will also be raffled off to those who buy a two-ticket Lexus bundle.
Since 2006, Granville Homes has raised more than $3.5 million for community-based organizations. This year, the beneficiaries include the Community Food Bank, Hinds Hospice and foundations for several area schools.
Granville will cap the number of home raffle tickets at 5,000 – at $100 each. The $200 two-ticket Lexus bundle includes two tickets for the house and a chance to win the two-year Lexus lease. Only 1,500 Lexus bundles will be sold. The winners will be drawn for the Lexus on July 13 and for the house on July 25.
The Home of Hope grand opening event will take place at the house at 2688 N. Millard Ave., near Fowler and Shields avenues. The house will be open to tours until the drawing starting Saturday.
