Dave & Buster’s sets tentative opening date, is hiring
Dave & Buster’s has set a tentative grand opening date: Oct. 17.
This is probably the most highly anticipated opening of any business in Fresno this year (yes, even bigger than Hobby Lobby’s opening).
Keep in mind this is a tentative opening date, so don’t take the day off work just yet. When it comes to the last-minute details and final approvals from government agencies, openings sometimes get delayed a few days. And sometimes there are quiet “soft openings” that happen before the big grand opening.
The company announced the date on its website and is directing people to its Fresno Facebook page for official details.
Dave & Buster’s, under construction at Friant Road and Highway 41, is a bar-restaurant-arcade that’s essentially a playland for adults.
The company is boasting that the Fresno location will have adult snow cones, a restaurant featuring bacon-wrapped shrimp with lobster sauce and a Buffalo wing burger, “more than 30 HD, big-screen TVs and a 360-degree sports bar” and 180 games to play.
Dave & Buster’s is also hiring 250 people via its website. Jobs include servers, bartenders, hosts, cooks and service support positions.
