Sheriff’s detectives investigate double murder at Chowchilla house fire
Madera County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a double homicide in the Chowchilla area.
Investigators are in the 24000 block of Robertson Boulevard, near Road 14 and Avenue 24 1/2. A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said Chowchilla police were alerted to the deaths after firefighters arrived at the home shortly after midnight in response to a house fire.
Two dead people who appeared to be “victims of foul play” were found inside the home. Sheriff’s detectives were called to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
No other details were immediately available.
