The rumor confirmed, The Offspring will play The Big Fresno Fair
The Offspring will add a dose of snotty punk attitude to this year’s The Big Fresno Fair concert series.
While it may not quite be news for those who follow the ’90s punk band, the Offspring will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.
Tickets cost $33-$38 and go on sale Monday, Aug. 15.
Fans can get pre-sale tickets starting 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, by joining Big Fair Fan Club.

Along with bands such as Green Day and Blink 182, the Offspring helped push punk rock into the mainstream in the 1990s with singles such as “Come Out and Play,” a summer hit on MTV in 1994.
The band later caused controversy when it left the independent record label Epitaph and signed to Columbia Records and released the album “Ixnay on the Hombre” in 1997.
Though it’s been a few years, The Offspring has made several stops in the area, including a 2001 concert at Fresno’s Rainbow Ballroom.
The band just released a new track for the fourth installment of the “Sharknado” series.
The Offspring joins this already announced fair lineup, which includes rock, country, pop and hip-hop acts.

Tickets for all shows go on sale 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15. Big Fair Fan Club members will be able to get tickets, online only, between 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, to 11:49 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.
