Single tickets are on sale for 2016-17 Broadway in Fresno season

Tickets officially go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, for the Fresno Lexus Broadway in Fresno 2016-17 season, although a presale code provided by the Fresno Convention and Visitors Bureau lets you buy tickets now.

The series includes “Once” (Nov. 15-16), “Elf: The Musical” (Dec. 14-15), “Dirty Dancing” (Feb. 21-22), “The Illusionists: Live from Broadway” (April 26-27) and “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’ ” (May 15-16). All play at Saroyan Theatre.

The next Broadway in Fresno offering, “The Phantom of the Opera,” which plays Oct. 5-16, is considered part of the 2015-16 season, with tickets already on sale.

The presale code for the 2016-17 season, provided in a mass email, is “Musical.” Tickets are available at www.Ticketmaster.com, by phone 800-745-3000. Prices range from $33-$63.

In other Broadway tour news: Tickets for three of the shows making up the 2016-17 SHN San Francisco season also go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23. The shows are “The King and I” (Nov. 15-Dec. 11), “Finding Neverland” (Jan. 18-Feb. 12) and “Into the Woods” (March 7-April 2). Prices range from $55-$275. Tickets are available at www.shnsf.com or at 888-746-1799.

Though SHN is bringing “Hamilton” to the Orpheum Theatre in March, single tickets aren’t available at this time. “We have yet to confirm or announce ticket sale dates for the remaining productions in the 2016-2017 season,” a spokesperson says.
