An all-star DJ cast was on hand Tuesday for Emo Nite LA.

Post Malone, Sirah and, yes, Demi Lovato were taking their turns.

And then came technical difficulties, with the main sound system going down. So what’s a girl to do?

When you have the pipes of Lovato and at least one working mic? No problem.

Lovato took matters into her own hands … err voice … and orchestrated an a capella version of “Misery Business” by Paramore.

And of course the crowd went wild (warning, there is a little coarse language).

For the uninitiated, Emo Nite, started by friends Babs Szabo, T.J. Petracca and Morgan Freed, celebrates the emo style of rock music that soared to popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The audience is as much a star as the DJs and other musicians who turn out to play the hits in what is one giant karaoke party.
