El cantante de música regional Edén Muñoz presenta su disco más “honesto y revolucionario”

El cantante de música regional mexicana, Edén Muñoz, presentó este jueves su nuevo álbum, ‘Edén’, un trabajo que definió como el mas “honesto y revolucionario” que ha realizado hasta el momento.

“Es un álbum muy honesto, revolucionario y súper experimental, creo que en este (disco) le puse más atención que nunca a conocer los límites de nuestra música mexicana”, explicó Muñoz sobre su nueva creación en una conferencia de prensa celebrada en el Hotel Presidente Intercontinental de la Ciudad de México.

Y es que la música regional mexicana está viviendo un ‘boom’ de la mano de artistas como el mundialmente conocido Peso Pluma que han aportado nuevos sonidos y alcanzado a un público más amplio, lo que no ha dejado indiferente al propio Edén Muñoz.

“Creo que ‘Edén’ es un vínculo entre esta nueva escuela, estos nuevos sonidos y los que vienen conmigo desde hace más de 20 años”, aclaró.

Para Muñoz, su nuevo disco tiene una gran variedad de temas y sonidos para gustos variados.

“Hay quince opciones para que ustedes elijan el ‘soundtrack’ (banda sonora) que más les guste”, explicó Edén.

El artista se refirió además a la colaboración que realizó recientemente con Camila, grupo junto al que grabó el tema ‘Corazón en Coma’.

“Para mí ha sido una de las experiencias más lindas, todos crecimos con su pop, fue como hacer una maestría en música”, señaló el nacido en Sinaloa respecto a esta asociación.

Este jueves se publicarán nuevos videos musicales y según cuenta el propio artista, son los primeros en los que se ha implicado personalmente.

“En esta ocasión nos sentamos todos los creativos a hacer algo distinto, no el típico video en el que te juntan con muchachas y ya, creo que logramos algo lindo y que la gente se va identificar”, relató el cantante respecto a estas nuevas producciones.

Eso si, se guarda un videoclip para sí mismo, una canción dedicada a sus hijos; “Ellos en un futuro cuando sean mayores si lo quieren monetizar que lo publiquen”, bromeó el cantante.

Edén Muñoz ofrecerá un concierto en la Arena de Ciudad de México el próximo 19 de octubre, inmueble al que se refirió como especial por ser “lugar de oportunidades”.

Será tras haber terminado la gira ‘Como en los Viejos Tiempos’, que llevó al artista por múltiples ciudades de México y Estados Unidos y que ha tenido para él una trascendencia especial.

“Es la primera gira en la que todo es pensado y planeado, en nuestro género tendemos a no pensar demasiado en las giras, en esta no fue así”, comentó sobre un tour en el que el artista dice haberse reinventado.

Muñoz también tuvo palabras para su antiguo grupo, Calibre 50, con los que compartió escenario durante 15 años y comparó su separación con una ruptura sentimental.

“Ha sido hasta ahora una de las etapas más lindas de mi vida pero lo que me merece es que cuando nos separamos cada uno tomó su camino”, respondió preguntado por el rumbo que han tomado sus excompañeros de música.

Mexican regional singer Edén Muñoz presented his new album, ‘Edén’, this Thursday, a work that he defined as the most “honest and revolutionary” that he has done so far.

“It is a very honest, revolutionary and super experimental album. I think that in this (album) I paid more attention than ever to knowing the limits of our Mexican music,” explained Muñoz about his new creation in a press conference held at México City’s Hotel Presidente Intercontinental.

Regional Mexican music is experiencing a boom thanks to artists such as the world-renowned Peso Pluma, who have contributed new sounds and reached a wider audience, which has not left Edén Muñoz himself indifferent.

“I think that ‘Eden’ is a link between this new school, these new sounds and those that have been with me for more than 20 years,” he clarified.

For Muñoz, his new album has a wide variety of themes and sounds for different tastes.

“There are 15 options for you to choose the ‘soundtrack’ that you like the most,” explained Eden.

The artist also referred to the collaboration he recently did with Camila, a group with which he recorded the song ‘Corazón en Coma’.

“For me it has been one of the most beautiful experiences, we all grew up with his pop, it was like doing a master’s degree in music,” said the Sinaloa native regarding this association.

New music videos will be released this Thursday and, according to the artist himself, they are the first ones in which he has been personally involved.

“This time, all of us creatives sat down to do something different, not the typical video where they put you together with girls and that’s it. I think we achieved something nice that people will identify with,” said the singer regarding these new productions.

However, he has kept a video clip for himself, a song dedicated to his children; “If they want to monetize it in the future when they are older, they can publish it,” the singer joked.

Edén Muñoz will offer a concert at the México City Arena on Oct.r 19, a building that he referred to as special for being a “place of opportunities.”

It will be after having finished the tour ‘Like in the Old Times’, which took the artist to multiple cities in México and the United States and which has had a special significance for him.

“It’s the first tour in which everything is thought out and planned. In our genre, we tend not to think too much about tours, but this one wasn’t like that,” he said about a tour in which the artist says he has reinvented himself.

Muñoz also had words for his former group, Calibre 50, with whom he shared the stage for 15 years, and compared their separation to a breakup.

“It has been one of the most beautiful stages of my life so far, but what I deserve is that when we separated, each one went their own way,” he replied when asked about the direction his former musical companions have taken.
