Argentina, Spain play World Cup final this weekend. Where to watch in Fresno area

Whether Central Valley and Fresno soccer fans have already joined the “Everyone vs Argentina” social media viral trend, one thing for sure is they have options for where to watch the ultimate showdown of the FIFA World Cup 2026 this weekend.

The Argentina vs. Spain World Cup final schedule for Sunday has sparked a massive trend, with soccer fans flooding social media with memes and jokes about the match.

The most popular, “Everyone vs Argentina,” has soccer fans reluctantly backing Spain, with some poking fun at its historic connection to Mexico. One viral post read: “Can’t believe I have to root for my own colonizers.“

For those Team Argentina or Team Spain, numerous venues in the Fresno area have announced watch parties for the final game on Sunday at noon at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Who are you cheering for? Here are World Cup Final watch parties

Rainbow Ballroom (1725 Broadway St.)

The downtown venue is hosting its “Grand Final” watch party Sunday, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. for the noon kickoff. There will be large-screen TVs, food, and drinks. The venue has seen a high-energy crowd of about 1,200 people showing up for previous watch parties. Entry is free, but space is limited. All ages are welcome. Early arrival is recommended for the best available seating.

Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant (5088 N. Blackstone Ave.)

The restaurant promises soccer fans an “unforgettable match-day experience.” The venue will serve a brunch buffet from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with aguas frescas. The game will be live at noonon its eight screens (indoor and outdoor viewing).

Fresno Indoor Soccer (5075 N. Cedar Ave.)

Fresno Indoor will host a final watch party with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. for pre-game and Panini sticker trading and the Argentina vs Spain game at noon on its big screens. It will feature food vendors, music and giveaways. No outside food or drink. Fresno Indoor Soccer also will host a watch party for the France vs. England game for third place on Saturday, with doors opening at 1 p.m. for Panini sticker trading and kickoff at 2 p.m. Entry is free to both.

Strummer’s (833 E. Fern Ave.)

The popular venue for American Outlaws supporters will host “The Finale” watch party for the Spain vs. Argentina game with kickoff at noon Sunday. All fans are welcome, all ages. Standing-room only is expected. You can enter to win a $25 Soccer Post gift card by picking a raffle ticket before halftime.

Tioga-Sequoia Beer Garden (745 Fulton St.)

The beer garden downtown will host the final watch party Sunday at noon featuring food by Mariscos y Tacos El Rey Coliman from noon to 7 p.m.

Vibez Lounge (724 E. Olive Ave.)

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for a family-friendly community World Cup Final watch party, with kickoff at noon. There will be live music before and after the game, plus face painting, food and drinks. The event is free with RSVP until it reaches capacity. This event is organized by Mijente Committee, Fresno Building Healthy Communities, and Cultiva La Salud, with the support of Love Peace & Fútbol as part of OUR COPA: People Power.

Toca Madera Winery (36140 Avenue 9, in Madera)

The winery will open its doors at 11:30 a.m. with kickoff at noon. Admission is free. The game will be broadcast in English and Spanish. No outside food or alcohol. There will be live music after the game from 2 to 5 p.m.

Los Arcos (1435 Fresno St.)

The downtown venue will host the World Cup final watch party Sunday, with doors open at 11 a.m. and teh game starting at noon on two giant screens. There will be free nachos, and the venue will have food and drinks deals including $6 beers, $10 cocktails and $29 buckets with $5 ceviche tostadas and live music. Free admission. Family-friendly event.
