New Fresno Fuego coach gets first look at club
Fresno Fuego head coach Sean Lanigan got his first look at his new job at the team’s annual winter combine at Clovis East High School.
A total of 47 players, including past Fuego team members Milton Blanco, Abraham Campos and Devon Grousis, participated Saturday in the opening day of the two-day tryouts.
The Fuego will make final roster selections later this month, planning to carry 24 to 28 players for their two preseason exhibitions next month and the upcoming Premier Development League season.
Fuego will host Armenia’s FC Ararat on Feb. 18 and the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League on Feb. 24, both at Chukchansi Park.
