2 men die in Mono County outdoors deaths within about an hour

Two men died in outdoors accidents within about an hour Monday in Mono County, the sheriff’s office there announced.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jennifer Hansen said the first death happened around noon when a rock climber fell in the Clark Canyon region known as Area 13. Ryan Nash, 35, of Mammoth Lakes fell about 60 feet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just after 1 p.m., a 72-year-old man crashed while riding mountain bikes with his grandson near Mono Village campground at Twin Lakes. Kennedy Feulner of Dayton, Nevada, flipped over the handlebars. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
