High schools fall preview: Hanford football standout Ryan Johnson

▪ Year/position: Senior/quarterback

▪ Why he matters: Fresno Bee 2015 Player of the Year has gone 26-2 with the first two Central Section Division III titles in school history and the 2015 State CIF Division IV-AA championship. He’s also won two section basketball titles, meaning he’s 75-19 as a starter in five varsity football and basketball seasons – unlike anything in the 124-year annals of the Kings County school.

▪ What’s next: Oral commitment to San Jose State as a quaterback. Nevada also has offered a scholarship.
