Two teams crack The Fresno Bee Top 25 high school football rankings after big wins

The upper portion of The Fresno Bee Top 25 high school football rankings remains the same heading into Week 6 games, while the bottom half looks a bit different with Sanger and Washington Union bouncing out.

The Panthers lost to unranked Dinuba 42-26, pushing Washington out and moving in McLane, which defeated defending North Yosemite League champion Sunnyside 35-14.

It was the Highlanders’ first win over Sunnyside since Andrew Pancotti took over as coach in 2021.

McLane checks in at No. 24.

Sanger, meanwhile, fell out also. The Apaches were ranked No. 16, but lost to unranked Kingsburg 14-0. The win by the Vikings slides them into the rankings at No. 25.

Despite sub .500 records by Bullard and Frontier, both remain in the rankings due to the strong nonleague schedule they’ve faced. The Knights, however, did fall to No. 23.
