The Fresno Bee looks to rebound from a bad week in prep football predictions
The Fresno Bee struggled mightily last week predicting high school football game winners, going 3-5.
That Week 3 record puts The Bee at 15-10 for the season. Still decent, but could be better.
The Bee puts its record on the line on games that should be fairly even matchups.
The Fresno Bee Game of the Week will pit Firebaugh against Roosevelt, to be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Sunnyside Stadium.
Here are the Week 4predictions: Washington Union (2-0) at Garza (3-0): Both teams come in with unblemished records. It will be a fun game. Garza 43, Washington Union 36
Firebaugh (2-1) at Roosevelt (2-0): Rough Riders coach Ricky McCoy’s team is looking strong. The Eagles might still be trying to find their identity. Roosevelt 33, Firebaugh 24
Immanuel (2-0) at Orosi (2-0): This will be a good game for the fans. Can the Cardinals dominate with their run game like they did against Reedley? This seems like a toss-up. Immanuel 23, Orosi 20
Minarets (3-0) at Fowler (1-2): The Redcats are coming off a surprising loss to Sanger West, while Minarets rolled Fresno. Minarets 42, Fowler 34
Clovis North (2-0) at Central Valley Christian (0-3): Can Don Arax’s Cavaliers pull off an upset? The Broncos are looking strong. Clovis North 36, CVC 16
Sanger (1-2) at Lemoore (1-2): Two straight losses for the Apaches, and they need to get their run game going in high gear despite putting up decent numbers in those losses. The Tigers will be tested unlike last week, winning 42-6. Sanger 27, Lemoore 23
Selma (1-2) at Dinuba (1-2): The Emperors took care of business in a surprising win over Kingsburg. The Bears are still looking for their identity. Dinuba 20, Selma 17
Tulare Western (3-0) at Redwood (1-2): The Rangers faced Clovis North and Tulare Union and lost. Now they face an undefeated Mustangs team. Redwood 37, Tulare Western 30
