Hoover’s Justin Brewington voted the Fresno-area football Player of the Week for first round

Justin Brewington of Hoover High was voted The Fresno Bee football Player of the Week for the first round of the Central Section playoffs.

He had 2,403 votes (67%) and finished ahead of Nicholas Grewal of Kerman (1,111 votes, 31%).

Numerous players were selected after big-game performances.

The voting to the poll ended at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
