Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh to visit Fresno prep football camp
Jim Harbaugh and his University of Michigan coaching staff will be in Fresno next month to attend a high school football camp at Roosevelt High.
Harbaugh, the ex-NFL quarterback-turned-head-coach with the San Francisco 49ers who has headed back to the college ranks, will be among the star attendees at the DB Guru Football Camp on June 11.
“This is a great opportunity for our Valley athletes to be recognized,” said Tony Perry, who is known as the DB Guru. “We have some great players in the Central Valley and this is another door for them.”
Harbaugh’s staff includes John Baxter, a former Fresno State and USC assistant, as well as former Raiders running back and Wolverines alum Tyrone Wheatley.
Others that will be evaluating players at the camp include former Edison High standout Courtney Viney, a graduate assistant at Oklahoma, and Cal Poly defensive coordinator Josh Brown.
The camp is open to all athletes at any position in grades nine through 11.
Registration is $60 per player.
Limited bleacher seating will be available for the public.
