Have a day, Kazmeir Allen. Tulare star picks up 14th offer, runs for more records
On the day that Tulare Union High’s Kazmeir Allen received his 14th NCAA Division I offer, the nation’s leading touchdown maker provided another performance to entice even more recruiters.
Allen, who had three seven-touchown games during the regular season, opened the Central Section Division II playoffs by erupting for eight – along with 434 rushing yards – as the top-seeded Tribe trounced No. 8 Sunnyside 61-26 in a quarterfinal Thursday at Bob Mathias Stadium.

The 5-10, 180-pound senior set the section single-season touchdown record, surpassing former Mendota star Edgar Segura’s 57. Allen now has a nation-leading 63 this year.
The rushing total and eight touchdowns are school single-game records.
About six hours before Tulare began its postseason march, Allen posted on Twitter that he’d received his latest offer from Wisconsin.

Allen pretty much has his pick of Mountain West programs, including Fresno State, as well as a few Pac-12 teams.
Other offers are from Air Force, Arizona, Boise State, Cal, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah State.
Tulare Union (11-0) next Friday will host No. 4 Garces (5-6), which won 4 of 5 to close the regular season and beat No. 5 Frontier 30-22 on Thursday.
Sunnyside (7-4), which won five straight entering the playoffs, was still hanging with Tulare Union early in the third quarter.
A 56-yard touchdown pass brought Sunnyside within 27-20 about 2 minutes into the second half.
